THE ROAD

The Road is a widescreen alt-country anthem about finding your way back to what matters. Written with partner Nick Morrissey after moving home to Laura’s family farm in regional QLD, it bottles up red-dust freedom, second chances and the quiet bravery of starting again. Gritty guitars, a rolling beat and Laura’s powerhouse vocal turn homesickness into momentum—the sound of leaving the noise behind and choosing a life you can feel in your bones.

Tracked with long-time producer Jordan Power, The Road has become a live favourite: part road-movie, part love letter to country life, made for open highways and big skies.

If you’ve ever needed a sign to go back to your roots and build something real—this is it.

I’ve been walking for miles in the wrong direction doing laps around the sun wasting time I’ve been looking for the meaning for far too long and I got it wrong one too many times I’ve been talking up the truth though I know it hates me taking on the world before my time I’ve been stuck between the day to day for far too long and I got it wrong one too many times there’s a road you walk upon and it’s not for everyone you are not what you’ve become so hold your breath and catch yourself be strong I’ve been hiding in the spotlight here forever painting pictures with these words of mine I’ve been too afraid to stop this train, cause I don’t know where I am and I can’t get these demons outta my mind there’s a road you walk upon and it’s not for everyone you are not what you’ve become so hold your breath and catch yourself I’m always asking questions where do they hide the answers now  I’ve been walking for miles in the wrong direction doing laps around the sun wasting time I’ve been looking for the meaning for far too long and I got it wrong one too many times there’s a road you walk upon and it’s not for everyone you are not what you’ve become so hold your breath and catch yourself

So hold your breath and catch yourself catch your breath and stop yourself be strong

Thanks for stopping by, we hope to see you again ...
